Welcome to Needle Felting!

Starting your needle felting journey is simple and fun! All you need are a few essential supplies: a special felting needle with barbs, some wool, and a surface to stab into. Let’s get you set up with everything you need to begin!

1. Felting Needles

Starter Needles:
- 36 Triangular Needles (Pack of 5)
- 38 Star Needles (Pack of 5)
- 40 Triangular VALUE Pack (Pack of 10)
- Start with a pack of 5 or 10 needles, as they can break easily when you're just starting out.
- Later, you can invest in a pack of mixed needles and explore specialist needles.
Accessories:
- A needle holder and multi-needle tool are nice but not necessary for beginners.
- Finger protectors are a good idea, as the needles are extremely sharp.

2. Wool

Carded Wool: Easy to needle felt with and perfect for beginners.

- Wool Stack (Choose Your Own 5 Colours)

3. Felting Surface

Foam Mat: A great option. Place an old piece of cloth on top to protect it.
Alternative Surfaces:
- Our Cotton Bag for Filling with Rice is another great option.
- You can also use any cushion you have at home.

4. Core Wool

Optional: Core wool can be helpful for creating the base of your projects.
- 100g of Baavet Wool
- Natural carded batts
- Or simply use your carded NZ or Maori wool.

5. The Felt Box
