This kit does not include wool or a project. It is designed for anyone who already has wool, wants to choose their own colours, or needs a reliable set of basic tools.

Full-size felting mat

The mat measures approximately 20 × 20 × 5 cm, giving you plenty of space for both flat and three-dimensional projects.

Lift your work from the mat regularly so it does not become attached to the foam. You can also cover the mat with a piece of scrap fabric to help keep colours separate and extend the life of the foam.

Two useful needle sizes

The 36 gauge needles are useful for starting projects, shaping wool and working with coarser fibres.

The finer 40 gauge needles are better suited to smoothing the surface and adding smaller details.

Felting needles are sharp and brittle. Always push the needle straight in and pull it straight out without twisting or bending it. Finger protectors can help while you learn, but careful needle placement is still important.

A simple, useful kit with no unnecessary extras. Just add carded wool and choose what you would like to make.
