How to Felt a Pet Keepsake: What You Need
Short pet hair is difficult to felt on its own. Layered over carded wool, it bonds properly and holds its shape. Here is what we recommend for a memory heart:
- Needle Felting Starter Kit — needles, felting pad, finger protectors, and a guide. Everything you need to begin.
- Carded New Zealand Wool — choose a shade close to your pet's coat. This gives the heart structure and helps the hair blend in naturally.
- Your pet's hair — carefully layered on top, so the finished piece carries both memory and texture.
