Most of us reach for the same few colours over and over. The Colour Collectors’ Club is a monthly wool subscription box that widens your palette for you: six different 20 g shades of carded wool, chosen from our New Zealand and Māori ranges and posted on the 5th of each month.
UK delivery is included. No set project to keep up with, no tools to buy, and 5% off the rest of the shop for as long as you are a member. Skip, pause or cancel at any time.
No shade is ever repeated. Over 27 months, with bonus shades in the final parcels, you collect all 167.

Your 5% member discount
While your subscription is active, you receive 5% off eligible full-priced retail purchases from The Felt Box. It applies every time you order, for as long as you stay a member.
The discount does not apply to the Colour Collectors’ Club itself, sale products, trade products, gift cards, Advent products, bundles or other subscriptions. It cannot be combined with another product or order discount. Qualifying shipping offers can still apply.
Collect all 167 shades
Six different shades arrive each month and no shade is repeated. That is 162 shades over 27 months. Selected parcels in the final months include extra bonus shades at no charge, which brings the total to all 167.
Every shade comes from one of our standard ranges rather than a subscription-only batch. When you find a colour you love, you can reorder it from the shop whenever it is in stock.
Your Colour Library card
Your first parcel includes a Colour Library collector card covering the full range.
Snip a small wisp from each new shade, attach it to the matching space with a stitch or a small dab of glue, then tick it off. Over time you build a physical colour reference you can hold against a project when choosing or reordering wool.
The card is also available on its own if you are not joining the Club.
How it works
- Subscribe at any time. Your first payment is taken when you join, followed by automatic monthly payments.
- Join by the 4th and your parcel is dispatched on the 5th of that month.
- Join after the 4th and your first parcel is dispatched on the 5th of the following month.
- Your first parcel contains six wool shades and your Colour Library collector card.
Please note: delivery time begins from the dispatch date, not the date you subscribe.
Who is it for?
New and experienced needle felters alike. It is particularly useful if you find choosing from a large colour range difficult, or if your palette has narrowed to the same few shades and you would like to widen it again.
No previous felting experience is required. The parcel contains the same carded wool sold individually in our shop, simply chosen for you.

Can I choose the colours?
No. The monthly selection is chosen for all Club members, and discovering colours you may not have picked yourself is part of the idea.
Will the same shade be sent twice?
No. Each shade appears once during the 27-month rotation. You might still receive a colour you previously bought separately from The Felt Box.
What if I already own one of the shades?
We cannot swap individual colours within the monthly selection. The additional 20 g can go into a future project or be added to your existing supply of that shade.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. Carded wool is widely used for needle felting, and there is no monthly project to keep up with. You can use each colour when and how you choose.
Can I use the wool for wet felting?
Yes. The carded wool suits needle felting, wet felting and other fibre projects.
When will I be charged and receive my first parcel?
Your first payment is taken when you subscribe. Join by the 4th and your parcel is dispatched on the 5th of that month. Join after the 4th and your first parcel is dispatched on the 5th of the following month.
Can I pause or cancel?
Yes. There is no minimum term. You can skip a parcel, pause the subscription or cancel through your subscription account.
Can I buy a gift membership?
Gift memberships are not yet available.
Do you send the Club outside the UK?
Not at present. The Colour Collectors’ Club is currently available for UK delivery only. International customers can still order individual shades through the main shop.
