Materials needed

Wool for one mouse:

  • 10 g Mouse Grey #04
  • 1.5 g Snow White #100
  • 1 g Off White #01
  • 1.5 g Pink #105
  • 1 g Black #08

Other materials:

  • One small wooden cotton reel
  • 20 cm of 0.5 mm cotton-covered wire for the tail
  • Felting mat or sponge
  • Two 36-gauge triangular felting needles
  • Ordinary scissors

Optional: beeswax, or PVA glue and a small brush, for coating the tail; finger protectors.

The recommended 0.5 mm cotton-covered wire can be cut with ordinary scissors. A similar thin wire can also be used.

Buying the wool

All wool shades are available from thefeltbox.uk.

Our minimum pack size is 20 g per colour, so you will have wool left over to make more mice or use in other projects.

Important information

Felting needles are sharp and brittle. Always push the needle straight in and out and do not bend it.
