About The Wool

Our Carded New Zealand wool is supplied as carded batting.

• Coarser fibre blend
• Shorter fibres mixed together
• Staple length: 6.5–9.0 cm
• Micron range: 25–31 microns

Carded batts needle felt quickly because the fibres are already blended and slightly textured. They build up smoothly and create excellent structural integrity, making them ideal for:

• 3D animals and dolls
• Sculptural work
• Workshop projects
• Decorative pieces
• Wet felting as well as needle felting

As with all natural wool batts, occasional vegetable matter may be present.

This is 100% sheep wool from non-mulesed sheep.
